How to Store:
We mainly grow four types of cabbage: Napa Cabbage, Red Cabbage, Green Cabbage and Savoy Cabbage. None of these varieties are storage cabbages that can be kept for months and months, but they can last a couple weeks stored in a ‘crisper drawer’ or a container in the fridge, ideally loosely wrapped in a plastic bag or towel. If forgotten in the back of the fridge, you can often just remove the outside leaves and the inside will still be fresh! Napa Cabbage leaves are more tender, like a cross between traditional cabbage and romaine lettuce. I sometimes pull the leaves apart, wash/dry in a salad spinner, and then store in a sealed container with a cloth towel for easy use, as I often add a few chopped leaves to salads/stir-fries.
