How to Store:

Store like a lettuce head: dry/unwashed, in an open plastic bag in the fridge for up to a week. Or wash and dry the leaves and store in a container in your fridge for easy use.

Escarole is a member of the chicory family, which includes endives and radicchio, all of which are known for their unique crisp and slightly bitter flavour. Escarole is less bitter than other chicories, but still pairs best with bold and strong flavours, like garlic, lemon, vinegars, fruit, capers and toasted nuts. It can be enjoyed as a salad (similar to lettuce), or cooked in various ways.
