How to Store:
Don’t put tomatoes in the fridge! They should be kept at room temperature on the countertop, and used within 3-4 days.
Tomatoes freeze very well, and can easily be squirreled away to enjoy in the winter. Either make your favourite tomato sauce and freeze in portions, or freeze whole tomatoes. When you want to use one, just run them in hot water, and their skins will slide right off.

Recipe Suggestions:
When you get your first heirloom tomatoes of the season, try just slicing them and savour the flavour. These tomatoes are only around for a couple months of the year, and theres nothing like a sun ripened, freshly picked tomato. Try them on an open faced sandwich with some salt/pepper/basil. Summer tomatoes don’t need much to be incredibly tasty.
